THE WORK I DO
-
I offer individual therapy for children who are navigating anxiety, life transitions, or challenges at home and school. I work with kids in a safe, low-pressure space where they can explore their feelings, try new ways of coping and feel truly seen and heard. Because kids often struggle to put their feelings into words, I focus on relational and play-based approaches, weaving in coping skills when it feels right. Parent involvement depends on the child’s age and willingness, and I work collaboratively to support each child’s growth without taking over.
My goal is to help kids feel understood, build confidence, and develop tools to manage anxiety, stress, and the pressures of life in ways that actually make sense for them.

I work with teens navigating anxiety, burnout, or feeling unheard in school, at home, or in their ocial life. My approach is relational and real — I validate their experiences, make them feel relevant, and then work together to explore challenges and build practical coping skills. Having worked as a school counselor and high school lacrosse coach, I know how important it is for teens to feel seen and respected by the adults around them, and I aim to provide that space in therapy.
My goal is to help teens feel understood, supported, and empowered to navigate stress, anxiety and ups and downs, while discovering their own strengths and voice.

I work with adults of all ages navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, or the pressures of school and work. I have a special appreciation for caregivers and parents carrying a heavy mental load, but I also support young adults, professionals, and anyone feeling stuck or overwhelmed. I believe that life is hard, and it’s normal to struggle — therapy is a place to be seen, understood, and supported while we figure out ways forward together.
My approach is warm, validating, and real — helping clients explore feelings, gain insight, and develop practical tools to manage stress, build confidence, and navigate life’s ups and downs. Together, we address both the challenges you’re facing now and the patterns that may be holding you back, while also creating space for self-exploration, growth, and humor along the way.
ABOUT ME
A PASSION FOR AUTHENTICITY & RESILIENCE
Hi, I'm Megan, a Professional Counselor Associate who is passionate about helping people live more authentically and develop resilience in the face of anxiety, stress, and life transitions. I strive to create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest and supported enough to move forward.
MY PATH TO COUNSELING
My path to counseling began long before it was a career choice. As a child, I experienced anxiety early on and often carried the feeling of navigating things on my own. I remember wishing I had someone who truly understood what was happening beneath the surface — and that desire to be that steady, supportive presence for others became a guiding force in my life.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Human Services and began working in addiction recovery settings, residential treatment programs for children navigating trauma, and with individuals in the foster care and special needs systems. These experiences deepened my understanding of resilience, family dynamics, and the quiet strength people carry even in difficult circumstances. I later completed my Master’s in Counseling and spent five years as a school counselor supporting students and families through emotional, academic, and relational challenges.
Over time, I felt increasingly drawn to clinical counseling, where I could work more deeply with individuals and families— supporting individuals of all ages, and the systems around them— and walk alongside them through meaningful, lasting change. I find so much purpose in helping people feel seen, make sense of their experiences, and discover new perspectives that allow them to move forward with greater confidence and self-understanding.
EXPERIENCE & APPROACH
My approach is relational, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity. When someone comes into session feeling anxious or overwhelmed, I begin by listening deeply — understanding the history, the “why,” and validating that their reactions make sense in context. From there, we gently explore patterns and beliefs that may be keeping them stuck, always without judgment or shame.
I integrate evidence-based approaches in a way that feels natural and conversational rather than clinical. This includes helping clients notice and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, build practical coping skills, clarify their values, and take small, meaningful steps toward change. I often use reflective questioning to help clients arrive at their own insight — because lasting growth happens when you discover it for yourself.
Sessions are not rigidly structured, but they are intentional. I follow treatment goals while allowing space for what feels most important in the moment. I balance validation with gentle challenge, helping clients recognize self-sabotaging or self-critical patterns and replace them with more compassionate and effective ways of responding.
Therapy with me should feel supportive, human, and collaborative — not intimidating or performative. I read the room carefully and adjust my approach to match your needs, whether that means light humor to build connection or deeper exploration when it’s time to go there.
REAL LIFE | OUTSIDE THE COUNSELING ROOM
Outside of counseling, I am a parent, wife, and dog lover who enjoys cooking, being outdoors (when Oregon weather allows), and soaking in cozy home vibes. I love new experiences, new recipes, and making time for the little joys that keep life balanced. I am passionate about standing up for fairness, inclusion and supporting others in being seen and heard. While I take my work as a therapist seriously, I also bring my own experience navigating life's challenges, humor, and the daily ups and downs into my approach. I love helping people grow, feel seen and navigate their journeys and I try and carry that same energy into my own life.
