THE WORK I DO
-
Adolescence and young adulthood are seasons filled with intensity around new independence, shifting identities, academic pressure, social dynamics, and the weight of imagining the future. Teens and young adults are learning who they are while navigating relationships, expectations, and the constant noise of the world around them.
This stage of life isn’t about “fixing” something, it’s a natural, complicated, and often overwhelming part of growing up. In therapy, I help young people understand their emotions, build self-awareness, and develop tools to support themselves through stress, anxiety, perfectionism, and identity challenges.
I meet teens and young adults exactly where they are. Together we create a supportive space grounded in curiosity and compassion. We work on building confidence, resilience, and emotional steadiness while strengthening the strengths they already have. My goal is to normalize this developmental chapter, help them feel seen, and support them in becoming the person they’re trying to grow into.

Being an adult in today’s world often means holding it all together while quietly feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or exhausted. Many of my clients are managing careers, relationships, family expectations, or major life transitions all while trying to stay confident in who they are.
In my work with adults, I focus on helping clients make sense of their inner experience: why they feel what they feel, what old patterns are resurfacing, and what they truly need to feel more steady and connected. Our work might include exploring boundaries, identity, anxiety, self-worth, or emotional regulation, always at a pace that feels supportive.
I approach adulthood as its own transition, it’s a time when people often begin unlearning old narratives and stepping into more authentic versions of themselves. Therapy becomes a space to slow down, reflect, and grow with intention.

Motherhood brings some of the most profound emotional shifts a person can experience — beautiful, disorienting, overwhelming, and transformative all at once. Many moms come to therapy feeling overstimulated, anxious, disconnected from themselves, or burdened by the pressure to “get it right.”
In my work with mothers, I create a warm, grounded space where they can tell the truth about their inner world. Together we explore identity, nervous system patterns, burnout, relationships, intrusive thoughts, perfectionism, rage, and the invisible load they carry. My goal is never to judge or prescribe, but to help moms reconnect with their values, their story, and the parts of themselves they’ve had to set aside.
Whether someone is navigating pregnancy, postpartum, early motherhood, or parenting older children, therapy can offer clarity, steadiness, and room to zoom out.
ABOUT ME
A PASSION FOR SUPPORTING WOMEN & FAMILIES
Hi, I’m Kaitlyn Dove, a Professional Counselor Associate. I’m passionate about helping women, teens/young adults, and mothers feel more grounded, supported, and connected to themselves especially in seasons of transition or overwhelm.
MY PATH TO COUNSELING
My journey began in the school counseling world, where I spent years supporting students, families, and parents through emotional, academic, and relational challenges. Working in schools gave me a deep understanding of development, anxiety, identity struggles, and family systems and the immense impact that genuine support can make.
Later, becoming a mother myself reshaped everything I thought I knew about identity, mental health, and emotional resilience. Navigating birth trauma, postpartum depression, and the overwhelming shift into motherhood taught me firsthand how powerful it is to have a space where you feel understood and cared for. These experiences inform my work every day and guide the compassionate, grounded approach I bring to therapy.
I value early support, prevention, and walking alongside clients before life feels unmanageable. Therapy isn’t just for crisis, it’s a place to grow, reflect, and strengthen your inner world at any stage.
EXPERIENCE & APPROACH
I’ve supported children, teens, young adults, and adults in both school settings and private practice. My clinical work focuses primarily on anxiety, emotional regulation, perfectionism, identity development, maternal mental health, and life transitions.
My philosophy is rooted in curiosity and compassion: I believe people do the best they can with the tools they have. In therapy, we explore what’s happening beneath the surface and develop skills that support emotional steadiness and self-awareness.
I blend reflective work with practical, values-based strategies using CBT, ACT, and trauma-informed approaches. Whether supporting a teen discovering who they are, a young adult navigating independence, or a mom trying to find herself again, therapy becomes a place to understand, practice, and grow.
My hope is to help clients feel connected, confident, and steadier in everyday life no matter what season they’re in.
REAL LIFE | OUTSIDE THE COUNSELING ROOM
Outside of counseling, I’m married and a mom of two young children. I deeply understand the tension, weight of the world, and information overload that is happening right now. This lived experience shapes the empathy I bring to the session.
I love slow mornings, my therapy dog, time with family, cozy home routines, and the moments of connection that make ordinary days feel meaningful. Therapy is my passion, but I’m also very much a human navigating the same complexities as everyone else and I believe that makes the work real and relatable.
You don’t have to feel alone anymore. Reach out, and let’s do this together.
